After a long time i am able to find you. whenever i visited NID i asked PRO dept. for your whereabouts, but couldn’t get it.
When you were in NID, your project work was put on display. My wife and i were both very much impressed by the method of Devnagri calligraphy which looked like:
At that time, if you can remember we asked you to visit our home in Paldi, just to discuss about excellent Art. Somehow you may have forgotten it.
Anyway, now we once again invite you to come to our home, whenever you are in Ahmedabad. You will be surprised to know that we found out about you from NID’s faculty member Dhimant Panchal, who is now in Pune with MIT.
My mobile No is: 0 982 41 42 432.
We wish you Best of luck for your future career.
With warm regards, Darshak Shah.

Hi Mr Shah,
Yes, I remember the piece of calligraphy you’d liked 🙂 and also the kind invitation from your family. The display was put up just before I left the campus, but I visit Ahmedabad at least once every year and will get in touch the next time I’m around. Thank you for your kind words!

Your “holi cow” drawing is going viral on facebook right now. Would it be ok with you if I used it as my profile picture for today (with attribution to you, of course)? It’s a really neat picture! There are a lot of vaidehi patils on facebook (and the internet) — luckily, I was able to find this blog of yours fairly quickly.
March 8, 2012 at 2:25 pm
Hi Jason, sure 🙂
March 8, 2012 at 2:36 pm
This is how I cited you, by the way:
March 8, 2012 at 2:42 pm
I’m unable to access the link 😦
Anyway, many thanks. Hope you had a good holi 🙂
March 8, 2012 at 2:51 pm
Hmm, odd… Oh, you probably need to be logged in to FB to be able to see it? Anyway, I just put in links to the relevant blog post (the I-thrive-on puns (so do I!) one) and to your LinkedIn profile. You’re welcome! 🙂 I try not to use other people’s [intellectual] property without at least making an attempt to give them due credit.
No Holi for me this year, unfortunately — there aren’t any other Indians (that I know of, at least) where I am. Also, it’s still a little chilly here, so best not to be getting soaked! Hope yours was good!

I was looking for some Holi cookies inspiration and found your Holi Cow doodle and loved it! Great job on the doodle. I made royal icing cookies out of it. I hope you dont mind. For now I have just posted it on my instagram and facebook, but wanted to write a post featuring them on my site. Of course in my post I will give credit to the design inspiration to you, linking back to your site and the particular post. I wanted to tag you on instagram for the design inspiration as well but all the Vaidehi Patils there either have zero posts or are private and I did not want to tag the wrong person.
Here is the link to the instagram post: http://instagram.com/p/ln_BugTKM7/
And to my blog fan page where I have posted this: https://www.facebook.com/TheNoviceHousewife/photos/a.522561111156333.1073741825.316601638418949/593515000727610/?type=1&theater
I do not have a business and this was just for fun. I hope it is not a problem that I used your work. I would love to give due credit to you, so let me know if you are on instagram I will tag you and also mention you on facebook and in my post. If you have a problem, I will remove the post. Thank you and happy holi!
March 17, 2014 at 4:24 pm
Hi, thanks, and happy Holi! I don’t mind you using it as long as credit is given. I hope you got to celebrate Holi 🙂 My (mostly inactive) instagram account goes by the name of vai (cerulean_green). Cheers!
