A window display for an interior design studio and store, Tulips, in west Pune. The idea was to showcase their fabric range on a ‘hyper-realistic peacock,’ the tail being the display. We used the play of light and shadow on the natural drape and folds of the fabric, the grandeur of the sheer volume of the material coupled with a realistic, larger-than-life bird. Originally, we designed a flexible system where the fabric could be changed according to seasonal themes and colours. The final display was tweaked by the clients and doesn’t involve so much fabric.
